The Cloth
Why does thread count matter?
Thread count is simply how many yarns are packed into a square inch of cloth. But the number alone lies — a 120s two-ply woven from long-staple cotton drapes like water, while a padded 300 count made of short, brittle fibres will feel like paper by its third wash.
We only publish counts alongside the yarn, the ply and the weight, because those three together are what you actually feel on your shoulders.

Tailoring, kept deliberately slow
Cloth we can trace
Every bolt is bought at the mill, logged by lot, and rested before it is cut. If we cannot name the weaver, we do not stock it.
A pattern, not a size
Sixteen measurements, drafted into a paper pattern that stays on file. Your second kurta needs no fitting at all.
Hand-finished seams
Side slits, plackets and collars are closed by hand. It takes an extra day and it is the difference you feel at the shoulder.
A fit guarantee
If the first piece is not right, we re-cut it. No conversation, no charge, no exceptions within thirty days.
